....Start by Flying the Flag. You'd be surprised what that'll say to your 'Neighbor'.....

I know this post is a year old, but I wanted to respond anyway.
After 9-11, we went out and bought a flagpole for our front yard. Flags were so hard to come by and I am ashamed that we hadn't flown the flag before then. We finally found one in West Virginia (we're from PA). We put up the flagpole and raised the flag. Next thing we knew, one of our neighbors put up a flagpole. Then another. And another. In total, 5 more neighbors put up a flagpole and all still fly the flag today. Our pole also has the US Marine flag flying. |

"HAND SALUTE" to you........
I am often asked 'WHY' I don't take my flag down at night or inclement weather. My reply is quick, and to the point.....
"Does a Soldier leave his/her post when the sun goes down, or when it begins to rain?"...NO..........so I will fly my flag until it is un-flyable.
