One of my poems I wrote a few years ago for all our brave Soldiers, everywhere.
Dear American Soldier,
I find the need to make it known,
You're in my heart, though far from home.
I think of you, each day, each night.
You're in my prayers as you onward fight.
You need to know, you're appreciated.
You're loyal, you're brave, you're dedicated.
I support you fully, in your task at hand,
In liberating the oppressed, upon foreign land.
You're missed by many, but please take heart-
America cares for you're loved ones, while you're apart.
We keep the homefires, brightly alit.
Our flags are flying in patriotic spirit.
Yellow ribbons adorn lapels, and many front doors.
Their wrapped around oaks and sycamores.
We await your return, safe and sound,
When your duty is done, and your finally homebound.
We'll welcome you back, with open arms,
To your big cities, suburbs or country farms.
Dear Soldier, remember, I'm so very proud of you-
YOU, are the best part, of the Red, White and Blue!
